Biography

Educated in Ireland and qualified from University College, Cork in 1981. After hospital jobs and a stint in General Practice in Cork City he worked for a year in the Ibn Al Bitar Hospital, Baghdad , Iraq. After this he moved to North East Brazil to study Acupuncture and Tropical Medicine. He remained in Brazil doing voluntary medical work in a small fishing village called Cumuruxatiba. His time in Brazil was funded by annual locum stints in the NHS .

In 1994 he moved back to the UK full time and worked as an SHO in a variety of hospital and GP positions in the NHS. He started in private practice in Chelsea in 1996. Since then he has built up a General Practice with a particular interest in Fatigue, Headaches, IBS, Post Natal Depression, Autism, Pain Management,Preventitive Aspects of Medicine, Chronic Illness Management.

I am fortunate in being able to draw from Acupuncture , Herbal and Nutritional as well as Conventional Medical Therapeutics when devising a patient treatment programme. I like to think I am a patient led practitioner and prefer to work with the patient in their quest for health and balance.
