Practice Statement

When I started in medical school I learnt that each human being had an absolutely unique identity located in chromosomes.

By the time I got to the end of the course 6 years later I was being taught how biochemically similiar we all are. In Pharmacology I learned about prescribing medication where it was inferred that all patients respond the same way to medications.

Over 20 years of medical practice later I realise that this is simply not true. What works for Peter doesen't necessarily work for Paul or Susan. The optimising of health and the treatment of disease frequently needs an individual approach. This is what I try to offer my patients.

I am fortunate in being able to draw from Acupuncture , Homeopathy, Herbal and Nutritional as well as Conventional Medical Therapeutics when devising a treatment programme. I like to think I am a patient led practitioner and prefer to work with the patient in their quest for health and balance.
